Delete a Spell Kingdom account

Spell Kingdom accounts belong to a parent. A parent can delete a child's learner account, or their own parent account, at any time. These are the steps.
To delete a learner's account (and their history)
- Open Spell Kingdom (the app or spellkingdom.com) and log in with the parent account.
- Open the Family page (the parent dashboard) and choose the learner.
- On that learner's page choose Delete (learner name)'s account and history and enter the parent password to confirm.
To delete the parent account
- Log in with the parent account and open the Family page.
- Scroll to Delete my parent account, enter your password and choose Delete my parent account.
If you want a learner's data kept for you, use Download (learner name)'s data (JSON) on the learner's page first (a file with the account details, choices and full practice history, without the password).
If you cannot log in
Email us at from the address you use for Spell Kingdom, with the account name to delete and the words delete account. We will check that the request comes from the parent of the account and then delete it.
What is deleted
- A learner's account: the account record (account name, nickname, password hash, class years, limits and settings), the coins, hats, pets and weapons, the custom word list, and the Spell World hero. Their practice history is detached from their name.
- A parent account: the parent account itself and any Family plan on it (the plan is not refunded by deleting the account; payments are handled by Stripe). Linked learner accounts are not deleted: they stay, unlinked, until they are deleted as above.
What is kept, and for how long
- Anonymous statistics such as how often a word is missed across all learners. They no longer say whose they are.
- Routine backups. Deleted information can remain in our backups until they are overwritten.
- Contact messages a parent sent us are deleted after 12 months, and our copies in the email inbox we use may be kept longer.
- Payment records held by Stripe, our payment provider, are kept under Stripe's own privacy policy. We never receive card numbers.
