What is Spell Rally?
Spell Rally is a live one-on-one race. Two players start side by side at the wharf of Sandport Harbor and race round Spell World: by boat up the east coast, then they jump out of the boat and into a car for the long drive west and south, and finally into a speed boat across Atlantis to a small island in its far corner. Each player has their own lane the whole way.
Along the lane there are letters to run through, like the Zombie Tunnel in Royal Quest: for each letter of the word a cluster of three lies across the lane, the right letter and two decoys, and nothing says which is right until the word is finished. Spell the word right and the racer speeds up for three seconds. Barriers need a jump, and trees and rocks need to be steered round. Every player spells words at their own class-year level, so a Year 3 and a Year 5 learner can race fairly.
There is no chat in the race; players only see each other's nicknames. Parents can switch live races off for their child from the family page.
How to play
- Create a race, or join an open one from the lobby.
- Steer with the arrow keys or the on-screen buttons and jump over the barriers.
- Run through the letters of the word, in order, and listen to the word again whenever you like.
- A word spelled right gives three seconds of speed. First across the finish line wins (and earns that day's bronze coin, subject to the one-coin-a-day cap).

Can strangers talk to my child?
No. There is no chat or messaging. Players see a nickname only.
Do I need someone to play with?
Yes, it is a two-player race. The other games can be played alone.
Is Spell Rally free?
The Family plan games are Sheep Rescue, Melody Maker, Maze Run and Spell Rally. The other games, and the first Royal Quest chapter, are free.
